Nayah Mullings (she/they/yeye)
Nayah Msengi Mullings is an educator, facilitator, storyteller, and community builder with over a decade of experience in facilitation and training. Dedicated to social justice, Nayah specializes in anti-oppression workshops and community building opportunities. By combining storytelling with communal educational practices, Nayah helps participants connect theoretical concepts with their lived experiences, fostering deeper understanding and inspiring action for justice and liberation.
As the founder and steward of Mafiga Tree LLC, Nayah has built a platform for her family's artistic and professional projects. This initiative reflects their rich cultural heritage and integrates art, education, and social change into creative, community-centric endeavors. Their work is grounded in the cultural and spiritual connection to and support of beloved and powerful ancestors, known and unknown (asanteni sana).
Nayah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Amherst College and a Five College Consortium Certificate in African Studies in addition to learning in transnational, Indigenous, Black, Queer and Trans communities on and offline. Nayah is also a certified coach, educated at ICLI RISING in the Certificate in the Foundations of Coaching, and plans to further her liberation-focused coaching and facilitation education.
Nayah loves to sing, is an avid gymnastics fan, a closet writer, and is always looking for paths toward individual and collective healing, justice, and liberation.
